Our Carpenters perform work including, but not limited to constructing, maintaining and repairing building structures and facilities as well as installation and repairs on construction projects.*
ESSENTIAL FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES*

• Comply with and effectively implement Urban One's Safety Program to ensure safety and environmental standards are met or exceeded
• Takes direction from Superintendents and Foreman on projects
• Accurately build concrete forms, scaffolding, hoarding, shelters, and other structures

• Ability to Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements

• Foresight to stay ahead of the trades where needed (i.e. floor/area cleanup, guard rails, lighting)
• Other duties as assigned daily for project progress

• 3+ years related work experience or a combination of relevant education and experience
• Red Seal Certified
• Experience in high-rise residential/mixed-use construction considered an asset
• Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety and WHMIS

• Self-driven and maintain a positive attitude

• Full time: 40 hrs/week
• Days required to work: Monday to Friday; ability to work Saturday's when needed
• May be working in various locations
