Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in carpentry, including the use of power tools and hand tools, as well as the ability to read and interpret blueprints. The successful candidate will be responsible for building, repairing, and maintaining structures, furniture, and other items using a variety of materials. The Carpenter must be detail-oriented and have a strong work ethic in order to ensure that all projects are completed on time and to the highest quality standards. Responsibilities:
- Measure and mark cutting lines on materials using a ruler, pencil, chalk, and marking gauge.
- Construct, erect, install, and repair structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, and wallboard using carpenter\'s hand tools and power tools.
- Shape or cut materials to specified measurements using hand tools, machines, or power saws.
- Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements.
- Install structures and fixtures such as windows, door frames, door hardware, interior and exterior trim using a carpenter\'s level, plumb bob, and laser levels.
- French not required
- 8 hour shift
- Overtime

- St. John\'s, NL: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
- carpentry: 1 year (preferred)
- Driving Licence (preferred)
