SUMMARY OF JOB

Duties Include but are not limited to: performing carpentry skills in the construction, installation, and repair of homes and businesses in the area and to assist in emergency response to fire, flood, inclement weather events as needed. Must be available to work on call after hours and weekends when necessary.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

Follow Project Managers scopes (read and interpret building blueprints, sketches and drawings) Work with great hand dexterity and attention to detail while demonstrating good knowledge of wood materials and other carpentry materials Fit and install trim items such as doors, stairs, windows, molding, hardware Measuring, cutting and joining materials made of wood or wood substitutes Taking measurements and calculating the size and amount of material needed Build window frames, doors, staircases and frame buildings by using raw materials or pre-constructed items Lay out floorings, roofings or drywalls ensuring they are leveled and compatible Inspect residences and commercial properties and conduct repairs or maintenance while representing the company's best interests Demonstrates public and customer service excellence whenever on job sites, travelling in a company vehicle, and while at company's properties Build scaffolding and other construction structures as the specific job requires Work alongside other team members successfully and working with little supervision while following all health and safety standards Occasional tear out tasks including removal and disposal of debris and ensuring
cleanliness and safety on the job site at all times

Ability to maintain physical condition and endurance Maintain the Winmar professional level of vendor courtesy and customer service Demonstrate follow-through and problem-solving skills Sufficient reading and writing skills (English) to complete required administrative functions for job costing and administrative purposes General knowledge of property restoration including but not limited to emergency situations Valid driver's license and maintenance of a clean driving record (must be able to provide Ministry of Ontario driver's abstract) Ability and interest to acquire further training and courses as deemed necessary by immediate Supervisor
