About the Opportunity

Dancing Bear Inc. is hiring a

Carpenter

OR

Journeyman Plasterer & Painter

to work on construction projects in

Taloyoak, Nunavut

- one of Canada's most remote fly-in communities.

Due to the isolated location and minimal direct supervision, we're looking for someone

self-motivated, reliable, honest

technology

for site updates, photo submissions, and communication with management.

What We Offer

$40/hour

with

80 guaranteed hours bi-weekly

while on-site (plus overtime opportunities*)

8 weeks on-site / 2 weeks off rotation

- off weeks unpaid*

$1,500/month Northern Living Allowance

(paid during on-site work periods)*

Free company-provided housing

- no rent or utilities

Paid flights

- round trip from your home city (Toronto or other major city) every two months Stable work with a supportive team environment in a unique Northern community

Key Responsibilities

Perform general construction duties in

carpentry

or

plastering/painting

Assist with related trades and site needs as required Work independently with limited supervision in a remote setting Use technology (smartphone/tablet) to send

weekly timesheets

, photos, and project updates Carry out other duties and

wear multiple hats

as directed by supervisor Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment Conduct yourself professionally, respecting

local culture and values

Represent Dancing Bear Inc. positively in the community

Qualifications

Journeyman certification in

Carpentry

or

Plastering/Painting

preferred but

not mandatory

Experience in general construction and multi-trade work an asset Comfortable with technology for communication and reporting Able to adapt to living and working in a remote Northern community Physically fit for hands-on construction work in varying conditions

Honest

, reliable, self-motivated, and a

positive work attitude
