Overview

This role requires a strong background in various construction and maintenance person tasks, with an emphasis on quality workmanship and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse skill set that includes blueprint reading, concrete forming, excavations and experience in restoration projects. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys working with their hands and has a passion for building and repairing.

Duties

The responsibilities of the candidate includes but are not limited to:

Reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics to execute construction projects accurately. Performing concrete forming tasks for various structures. Engaging in restoration work to bring buildings back to their original condition. Conducting construction painting to enhance the aesthetic appeal of structures. Installing flooring materials, ensuring a level and durable finish. Employing hand tools and power tools safely and effectively in all tasks. Applying carpentry skills for custom woodworking projects. Installing rebar as required for structural integrity in concrete projects. Handling heavy lifting as required throughout various projects. Working around running machinery on job sites.

Experience

Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:

Proven experience in construction or related fields is essential. Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding technical drawings is required. Familiarity with concrete forming techniques is highly desirable. Experience in restoration projects will be considered an asset. Skills in flooring installation, carpentry, woodworking, heavy equipment operations, etc. Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely is necessary.
