What you will do:
Our artisanal
Carpenters
are known for their dedication to creating unique, high-quality wooden pieces. They play a crucial role in the world of our thermal villages through their work in interior design, construction, and craftsmanship. They build custom furniture and cabinetry that add both functionality and beauty to our signature spaces.
Responsibilities:
Analyze technical drawings and blueprints to understand project requirements and accurately estimate material needs.
Mark and cut components using measuring tools, while maintaining precise dimensions and tolerances.
Select and prepare materials (wood, hardware, finishes) based on project specifications.
Machine and shape components using manual and power tools (e.g., saws, mortisers, etc.).
Partially assemble furniture or installations using appropriate joinery techniques (mortise and tenon, tongue and groove, etc.).
Sand and apply finishes (lacquers, varnishes, stains) for a polished and durable result.
Install woodworking elements such as doors, staircases, mouldings, and hardware accessories.
Identify and resolve technical issues; adjust or repair components as needed.
Collaborate with the team to ensure high-quality deliverables and meet project deadlines.
Follow safety protocols and maintain woodworking tools and equipment.
To be successful in this position you will need:
A minimum of a diploma (DEP) in cabinetmaking, carpentry, or a related trade.
At least two (2) years of experience in carpentry and/or cabinetmaking or a related field.
Interest and aptitude for artisanal woodworking.
Bilingualism (French and English) is essential to support operations outside of Quebec.
A valid driver's license (mandatory for this role).
A portfolio of your projects (considered an asset).
Aptitude tests will be part of the selection process.
Your profile stands out because of your:
Proficiency in woodworking tools, machines, and techniques.
Knowledge of wood species, their properties, and finishing products (lacquers, varnishes, epoxy, stains).
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans.
High level of precision, attention to detail, and craftsmanship (including carving, inlays, decorative elements).
Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment.
Ability to prioritize tasks based on urgency and project timelines.
Versatility, resourcefulness, autonomy, and team spirit.
Basic skills in metalworking (cutting, welding) for integrating metal elements into projects.
