Carpenter / Framer's Assistant
Job Description
Harewood Construction is seeking a skilled Carpenter's Helper to join our team. As a Carpenter's Helper, you will assist carpenters in various construction projects, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Assist carpenters in measuring, cutting, and shaping materials according to specifications
- Prepare work areas by setting up tools and equipment
- Clean and maintain tools and equipment after use
- Assist in the installation of doors, windows, and other fixtures
- Help with the assembly of scaffolding and temporary structures
- Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean work environment
Skills:
- Knowledge of carpentry techniques and tools
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints
- Proficiency in using power tools such as saws, and drills
- Understanding of concrete forming
A minimum of 3 years framing experience is required
