Overview

Holland Creek Homes has been building quality custom and spec homes in the Columbia valley for the past 20years. We are now looking for an experienced, talented multi skilled carpenter to join our team as a lead hand/foreman.

The successful applicant would need to be a versatile tradesman with good general hands-on knowledge of most trades and be able to produce quality work, while ensuring his team members do likewise.

Duties would include but not limited to: site layout, icf concrete construction, framing /finish carpentry, roofing and interior finishing.

You would be expected to have a good understanding of the BC building code and demonstrate and foster safe working practices.

You will also be expected to communicate respectfully and clearly with team members, subcontractors and clients alike.

A driver's license and transport to the construction site are required.

This is a full-time position and the applicant would need to be resident in the Invermere area prior to starting employment.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate the activities of carpenters and trades on-site Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to ensure accurate execution of projects Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality control standards throughout all phases of construction Maintain quality control and ensure compliance with design specifications Collaborate with project manager, clients, and subcontractors to facilitate smooth communication and project progress

Requirements

Proven experience supervising construction projects with a strong background in carpentry Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, Knowledge of quality control procedures, and safety regulations in the construction industry Strong leadership skills with experience supervising teams of skilled tradespeople Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour
