Job Description
Joel Friesen Homes is seeking a full time, skilled and motivated Carpenter to join our residential renovation company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in framing, finishing carpentry and other related carpentry tasks. Experience in residential construction and renovations will be an asset.
Responsibilities
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in finishing carpentry and/or framing
- Strong knowledge of residential home building and renovation procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, ensuring a timely completion of projects while maintaining quality standards
- Self-motivated, detail oriented, with strong problem-solving skills
- Strong leadership potential with an interest in taking on a supervisory role.
- Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving abstract
Skills
- Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools for various construction tasks.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Familiarity with woodworking techniques and cabinetry installation.
- Electrical experience or plumbing skills are a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to construction sites
