Requirements:

Journeyman Carpenter or minimum 3 years carpenter apprentice.
Clean Driver\'s License Abstract Own Truck and Tools (an asset)
First aid and CPR , CSTS certified (an asset)
Be able to lift up to 50lbs and work in all types of weather and working conditions
Team player with good communication skills are essential, and must also be able to work independently.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Carpentry and building construction knowledge focusing on residential construction
Safe operation of basic hand and power tools knowledge
Workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures knowledge Time management skills; must complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.
Effective communication skills; must be able to effectively deal with home owners or subtrades in a courteous and respectful manner
Read building specifications, blueprints and record drawings as required
Client service and public interaction skills
Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner
Effective verbal and listening skills
Safety conscious, knowledge of safe operations;

Responsibilities:

Rough Carpentry; finish Carpentry; restoration
Carpentry Temporary decks and support structures
Site Protection and Safety Management Install doors, windows and hardware
Install siding; install drywall; install flooring; install millwork
Grading and Landscaping Precise installations
Casings, doors and base
Hanging doors; install drop ceilings; framing; metal siding; painting
Safe operation of machines, equipment and tools
Comply with all Alair company policies and procedures; be honest, respectful and trustworthy and practice Alair cultural awareness and sensitivity
Maintain a safe and organized work environment; complete daily worksite hazard assessments and report defects, accidents or violations
Perform other related duties as required
Management of warranty jobs, including organizing and managing trades, materials and schedules required for completion of warranty issues
