Holmes Construction is a growing custom home building company serving Clarington, and surrounding communities. With nearly a decade of experience in the residential construction industry, we take pride in delivering high-quality workmanship, thoughtful design, and a seamless building experience for our clients.

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Carpenter to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, takes pride in their craftsmanship, and enjoys working on custom homes from start to finish.

Responsibilities

Perform all aspects of residential carpentry including framing, finishing, and general carpentry tasks Read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints ASSET Install doors, windows, trim, cabinetry, flooring, and other finish components with accuracy Ensure work meets Holmes Construction's high quality standards Collaborate with site supervisors, trades, and homeowners on project requirements Maintain a clean and safe job site Problem-solve on-site challenges and offer practical solutions Follow timelines and contribute to efficient project flow
Qualifications

3-5+ years of carpentry experience in residential construction (custom home experience is an asset) Proficient with carpentry tools, techniques, and safety practices Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labour in varying weather conditions Basic tools required; specialty tools provided as needed
