Karve Builders Canada ("KBC") is a turnkey construction company specializing in the installation of workforce housing and other modular buildings. KBC is a Calgary based company with projects nation wide. Founded in 2019, this new construction company is focused on bringing in the right talent to help build the foundation of growth for years to come.

POSITION SUMMARY

Karve is looking for skilled trades people to join our team. We have full time, permanent openings for Apprentices and Ticketed Carpenters.

JOB DUTIES

Site installation and dismantle of modular buildings

Repair, service and maintenance of modular buildings

interior and exterior building envelope installation and repair

General carpentry work including wood framing, window, and door installations

Installation of stairs, landings, decks, aluminum, vinyl and Hardie siding

The safe use of hand and power tools on site, included but not limited to drills, table saw, radial arm and skill saw

Read and understand blueprints

Maintain a safe and clean worksite, general clean up and waste disposal

Adherence to all safety policies, processes and legislation

Completion of safety and QAQC documentation, among others

Ticketed Carpenters will provide mentorship and direction for apprentices, including signing off on apprenticeship documentation

Other duties as required

REQUIREMENTS

Valid drivers license is an asset

Reliable transportation to get to various job site locations in town

Journeyman Certification or valid Apprentice contract

Minimum 3 years of commercial or industrial experience, preference will be given to modular construction experience

WORKING CONDITIONS

The nature of this position requires physically demanding motions and tasks. Candidates are required to be in good physical condition with the ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly and fit for work. This position requires candidates to work on remote project sites outside in all seasons and weather.

10-hours per day 21/7 Out of Town Work Shift Rotations (transportation and accommodations provided)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $24.00-$41.00 per hour
