Carpenter Apprentice

to join the

Bethany Care Redevelopment

Project team in

Calgary

The schedule for this position is Monday to Friday.The shift may include extended hours and weekends, as required by the site.

As an Apprentice Carpenter, you will:

Build forms for concrete Cut, shape, and join Look for and fix deficiencies Building of hoarding and other temporary structures Checks accuracy of work, and makes adjustments as required Studies blueprints for work planning Constructs and forms chutes for pouring concrete Erects scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level Informs immediate supervisor of abnormalities or defects and/or takes appropriate measures Perform labourer duties in addition to carpentry work General site upkeep

Requirements:

Preference will be given to Registered Carpenter Apprentices from a recognized provincial training authority Non-ticketed carpenters must provide proof of hours relevant to the industrial Carpentry trade Certifications: CSTS & WHMIS Fall Protection is an asset Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Describe and point out safety compliance and regulatory issues Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
