Job Description


Seeking an experienced caregiver for our 3 year old special needs son with epilepsy. This is a part time permanent weekend position. We are a family of 4 located in downtown Vancouver. Our son is very playful, curious, and intelligent. He enjoys going for walks in the stroller, puzzles, water play, and "dinosaurs"! We would like to add someone to our family who would enjoy spending time with our son while helping him learn about the world around him. He\'s a normally developing toddler but is at risk of developmental delays due to the epilepsy. He has many limitations due to his condition and someone who can be sensitive to that and work within his abilities will be required. We\'re looking for someone who is a good communicator, has a calm demeanour, is reliable, and will keep us updated about how he\'s doing during the time they are with him. Experience with special needs/epilepsy preferred but not required as we are willing to train and will be available to assist you as needed. Hours: Weekends and Statutory Holidays, approximately 4 days per month, 6-8 hours per day. We are open to discussing which days and hours will work best for us both.
