We are

currently looking for Caregivers within Victoria, BC

who are compassionate and dedicated to providing high-quality support and assistance to individuals in need of care. As a Caregiver, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals with disabilities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This position requires a nurturing attitude and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and private homes.

Duties

Provide personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, and dressing. Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation and feeding. Administer medications as prescribed and monitor health conditions. Support mobility by assisting with transfers and heavy lifting when necessary. Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks. Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to the appropriate personnel. Offer companionship and emotional support to foster positive relationships.

Requirements

Previous experience in caregiving or related fields such as assisted living, nursing home care, or hospice care is preferred. Knowledge of patient care techniques, including dementia care and working with people with disabilities. Ability to perform physical tasks, including heavy lifting for client mobility support. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals. A compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others. Certification in CPR/First Aid is a plus but not required at the time of application. Must be willing to undergo background checks as part of the hiring process.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.75-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week
