Job Description

We are recruiting for 2 Personal Support Workers on behalf of a 30-year-old male private employer with Cerebral Palsy Quadriplegia with all activities of daily living; He is an engaging young man who uses a power wheelchair and is active in the community.

The ideal candidate will be easy going, energetic, flexible, reliable, and fun.

Location:

White Rock, BC (Near Maccaud Park)

Shifts and Hours:

Thursdays and Fridays 7:45am-3:00pm Permanent shifts.

Compensation

$25.50 an hour during the probationary period

Responsibilities (but not limited to):

All activities of daily living, morning personal care Transfers (Ceiling lift) Assist with recreational activities Assistance with computer usage Driving a modified wheelchair van

Qualifications:

Good command of English Proficient in Microsoft Word and Power point Must be comfortable working in an environment with a cat and service dog Preference is given to candidates who can commit to long term employment (i.e. minimum of a year or longer) Class 5 Driver's License Clean drivers abstract Experience working with physical disabilities Ability to drive a modified wheelchair van is an asset Experience with ceiling lifts and slings preferred Must be energetic and reliable 3 References required Willing to train and learn Fully Vaccinated for COVID-19
