Job Description

We are looking for a reliable and friendly Care Worker to provide evening support for a middle-aged professional with a C3 spinal cord injury. The home environment is relaxed, welcoming, and easy-going, shared with two young, very friendly cats.

Experience as a personal support worker is helpful but not required -- comprehensive training will be provided. The ideal candidate enjoys friendly, casual conversation while assisting with evening routines in a calm, respectful manner.

Location:

Victoria (Near Playfair Park and Bus Routes 25 and 6)

Shifts & Hours of Work:

3 evenings per week between Saturday and Wednesday (preference for Monday to Wednesday, open to 4 shifts if interested in more hours) 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM Start Date : December 15th

Compensation:

$28.00 per hour

Responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to):

Assist with evening activities, including personal care and bedtime routine Use an overhead lift for safe transfers Support with range of motion exercises before and after bed Prepare and assist with a nighttime snack (fruit and drink) and evening medication Ensure comfort, safety, and readiness for the night

Required Qualifications:

Fully Vaccinated (at least two doses for Covid-19) Driver's License (Class 5) is preferred Friendly, reliable, and compassionate Willingness to learn all aspects of personal care Comfortable working in a home with two young, friendly cats Ability to follow established routines and communicate clearly
