Job Description

We are looking for a personal caregiver to assist a male employer who has spastic cerebral palsy in all activities of daily living.

Our client is a graduate from UBC, who is interested in learning different languages. Furthermore, our client is interested in documentaries, podcasts related to law and crime, and their pet cat who loves making new friends.

The ideal caregiver is someone who is enthusiastic, motivated, and willing to learn.

Location:

Vancouver (near River District)

Shifts and Hours:

Monday, Tuesday 8:00 am to 10:00 am Wednesday 7:00 am to 9:00 am Thursday 5:30 am to 7:30 am Friday 6:00 am to 8:00 am

Compensation

$22 per hour

Responsibilities (but not limited to):

Getting ready for the day Shower, medication administration, getting dressed, toileting Manual assist using sling

Qualifications:

Willingness to learn and demonstrate maturity First Aid and CPR certification an asset Driver License is an asset Ability to speak French an asset Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 Post-secondary education required Must be comfortable working in an environment with a cat No smoking during or two hours before shift, as client is sensitive to smoke
