Job Description

We are currently recruiting a few casual Personal Support Worker to assist our male employer, who has cerebral palsy and autism spectrum disorder, in all activities of daily living.

He enjoys watching sports (NHL and NFL) as well as playing video games. He likes to attend the local theater to watch movies and would like to have someone to go with.

Location:

Maple Ridge (near Thomas Haney School)

Compensation:

$25 an hour for day shift $23 an hour for night shift

Shifts:

Sunday: 8am to 2pm (or 8am to 4pm) Monday or Tuesday: 10pm to 8am opportunity for additional shifts to cover (sick days, holiday etc.)

Responsibilities will include (but not limited to)

Day shift:

All aspects of Personal Care include, but are not limited to, showering, grooming dressing, washroom care Use Ceiling Lift to transfer safely take client out into the community for events and to the movie theater

Night shifts:

bedtime care routine (changing to pjs, oral care, washroom care) 10pm-11:30pm occasionally one toileting or repositioning at night

Qualification:

Caregiving experience is required Willingness to learn A Class 5 Driver's License required Valid First Aid required Will need to complete a Criminal Record Check (CRC)

Do you have a Class 5 drivers license and personal vehicle? Are you comfortable taking the client out into the community and driving his vehicle? Do you have at least 2 doses of the CoVid vaccination ?
