Job Description

We are recruiting for a Personal Support Worker to assist our female employer who had an Aneurysm, PEA cardiac arrest, and subsequent stroke with all activities of daily living.

The employer is a gentle woman, who enjoys puzzles, word searches and has a strong sense of humor

The ideal candidate will enjoy supporting the employer with puzzles, have a sense of humor and understand when to leave her alone for quiet time.

Location:

Burnaby, BC

Shifts & Hours of Work:

Tuesday to Fridays: 8:00am - 4:00pm Saturdays: 8:00am - 12:00pm

Must be available for all shifts

Some flexibility to accommodate employers appointments Willing/available to work some weekends

Compensation:

$25.00 per hour

Responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to):

Daily personal care such as bathing, toileting, and dressing assistance Light meal preparation for breakfast, lunch, and dinner General Light housekeeping duties Support with laundry (Personal, and linens) Supervision when the employer is ambulating using a 2 wheel walker or 4ww Range of motion exercises, use of a massage gun on hemiplegic side, and support using bike Accompany to out patient rehab appointments via handy DART Accompany running errands Ability to speak Punjabi

Required Qualifications:

Fully Vaccinated preferred Willingness to learn Calm demeanor Background with rehab and/or nursing experience Physically fit and well to do the job
