Comfort Keepers is a private in-home care company, and we have a wide range of staff made up of certified Health Care Aids, Personal Care Aids, Direct Support Workers, Nurse and Companions who provide in-home care services to seniors, as well as adults with disabilities.

Job Info:

The Caregiver and Client Relations Specialist role will be 30-40 hours a week and days and hours may vary due to industry demands such as presentations. The successful candidate must be outgoing, enthusiastic, hard working, flexible, reliable and be able to work individually or with a team. This role will include daily work in the office as well as out in the community. The role will include hiring and training of new staff, performance reviews, answer in-coming calls and emails from staff and clients, matching our caregivers with clients, as well as maintaining healthy relationships with our clients and their family members. This position involves communicating with both our caregivers and clients and will require excellent phone skills, communication, conflict resolution and organizational skills are a must. This role will also be creating a social media presence so exceptional computer skills are also a must.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Answer & direct all phone calls.
  • Write emails, letters & forms.
  • Update & maintain office data bases, policies & procedures.
  • Provide support to Business Owner, Client Care Specialist and Office Manager.
  • Maintain contact lists.
  • Building relationships with both clients & caregivers.
  • Organize and maintain caregiver personnel records.
  • Prepare HR documents, like averaging permits, employment contracts and new hire guides.
  • Ability to hire new caregivers (ex. Health Care Aid\'s, Direct Support Workers, Companions) in a timely manner, as the job demands.
  • Ability to prepare & organize and deliver all orientation and training for new hires.
  • Participate in projects (e.g. help organize a job fair event)
  • Pays close attention to detail.
  • Ability to work alongside the Office Manager to ensure all roles are being met.
  • Maintain Social Media presence.
Job Requirements:
  • Experience in an medical background - HCA, Direct Support worker, Medical assistant. Would be considered an asset.
  • Experience in an Administrative/Office role.
  • Customer Service experience a must.
  • Strong phone, email and in-person communication skills.
  • Must drive and have own vehicle
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to successfully multi-task.
  • Excellent computer literacy (MS Office applications, Social medial platforms in particular).
  • Excellent Time Management skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize important projects.
  • Outgoing & positive personality.
  • Adaptability & flexibility.
