Work type: Part time - Causal

Work Location: Onsite (Vancouver Career College) across the Lower Mainland campuses

Hourly Salary: $25 - $29/hr

Expected Start Date: ASAP

Your Day to Day:


Delivering instruction that meets module and program objectives as set out in the curriculum. More specifically:

• Assist students in crafting professional resumes and compelling cover letters.
• Coach and support students in developing strong interview skills, including responding effectively to common interview scenarios.
• Guide students in analyzing technical and personality-based interview questions to formulate strong responses.
• Provide training on digital networking strategies, including optimizing LinkedIn profiles and engagement.
• Educate students on financial planning, budgeting, and personal finance management.
• Instruct on loan repayment strategies, including timelines and financial responsibility.
• Train students in professional cold-calling techniques for business and networking purposes.
• Facilitate the completion and comprehension of Enriched Academy modules.
• Evaluating student performance fairly and consistently.
• Supporting the administrative functions of the campus to enhance the student experience.
• Acting in a manner that upholds the College standards.

What you bring to the table:



Education and Experience:

• Degree or diploma from a recognized University or College in a relevant discipline in Business Administration
• Three or more years' experience in a related field, or the equivalent combination of education and teaching experience.
• A credential in adult education or in progress from an accredited postsecondary institution, and/or teaching experience is preferred.
• Satisfy specific position qualifications as prescribed in program design and program approval for the instruction of the courses.


Skills and Abilities:

• Relevant industry skills and knowledge relating to the area of instruction, including ongoing professional development and continuous improvement.
• Interest in pedagogical and multi-modal education approaches an asset.
• Advanced oral and written communication skills, including presentation and group facilitation.

Preferred:

• Experience teaching in an in-person setting.

Required:

• Must be adaptable to accommodate schedules across the Lower Mainland campuses, with occasional travel to the Fraser Valley campus..
