Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Aide to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals in various care settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, and home health environments. This role involves assisting clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety, and promoting their overall well-being.

Duties

Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Provide patient care by monitoring vital signs and observing changes in health status. Support clients with meal preparation and cooking nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties. Assist with mobility needs, including the use of Hoyer lifts for heavier lifting requirements. Implement care plans developed by healthcare professionals to meet individual client needs. Administer medications as prescribed and ensure proper documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Engage in meaningful activities to enhance the quality of life for clients, including memory care for those with Alzheimer's or dementia. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients while fostering a positive environment. Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care for individuals with developmental disabilities or autism.

Qualifications

Previous experience in home & community care, group homes, or long-term care settings is preferred. Certification in First Aid and CPR is required.

Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses

CPR Certificate Nursing Aide Certificate Health Care Aide Certificate Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques and vital signs assessment is essential. Experience working with individuals with disabilities, including Alzheimer's care and dementia care, is highly valued. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with diverse populations are necessary. Must demonstrate compassion, patience, and a commitment to providing high-quality care. Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed while maintaining safety protocols. Familiarity with caregiving practices, social work principles, and direct support roles will be advantageous. Pay: $25.00-$29.00 per hour
