As a Cardiovascular Perfusionist I, you will collaborate closely with our team of highly skilled cardiovascular anesthesiologists, cardiovascular surgeons, cardiac care professionals, researchers, and educators. Our team is incredibly dynamic and intertwined, providing professional support to one another. You must be able to assist in transporting, lifting, and positioning of patients. You will be required to bend, lift, push, and pull heart lung machine equipment as well as bulky l surgical supplies. Alberta Health Services provides a competitive compensation package, including salary, health benefits and may offer a recruitment bonus for new perfusionists joining the organization of up to $10, 000 for a two-year commitment, as well as relocation assistance to successful candidates. Description:

As a Cardiovascular Perfusionist I, you are responsible for the safe and efficient preparation for and management of cardiopulmonary bypass and related cardiopulmonary support modalities for adult, pediatric and infant patients. You will work in consultation with attending physicians and will administer various anaesthetic and medical gases, other related pharmaceuticals, blood and blood products and various crystalloid solutions.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited Cardiovascular Perfusion training program. Active or eligible for registration with Canadian Society of Clinical Perfusion (CSCP). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Providers (BCLS-HCP). Additional Required Qualifications:

Graduate of a recognized Cardiovascular Perfusion training program. Canadian Society of Clinical Perfusion (CSCP) Certification (CPC) within two years of start date is required, however, in lieu of such American Board (ABCP) Certification (CCP) may be considered. Continuing education and maintenance of C.S.C.P educational credits are required. Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Adult ECLS. Experience with pediatric ECLS. Experience charting with ConnectCare (EPIC). Experience with research participation.
