As a CATD Instructor at Stenberg College, you will guide and support students through their learning journey, ensuring they gain the skills and knowledge needed for success in their chosen field. You will use your industry expertise and teaching experience to deliver engaging, high-quality instruction while fostering a supportive and professional learning environment. Your role includes preparing and delivering course materials, providing feedback, and tracking student progress to help them achieve their academic and career goals.
What You Will Be Doing
Prepare, develop, and deliver course materials, ensuring they are accurate and up to date.
Provide clear instruction and support to students in an online setting.
Offer timely feedback on assignments, quizzes, and exams, returning results within 5 business days.
Monitor student attendance, participation, and performance, offering guidance when needed.
Report student progress and concerns to the Student Success Coordinator.
Create a positive and engaging learning environment that encourages active participation.
Collaborate with department heads and curriculum specialists to improve course delivery.
Uphold Stenberg College's academic policies, standards, and procedures.
Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and other college initiatives.
Who You Are
Certificate, diploma, or post-secondary degree relevant to the subject area, and two years of full-time work experience in a related field, OR
Ten years of full-time work experience relevant to the course subject area.
For academic courses (excluding language or Aboriginal culture courses), a relevant post-secondary degree is required.
Completion or progression toward a recognized Instructor Development Program is preferred.
