The Capital Projects Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and managing capital projects. This will includes overseeing all aspects of the project lifecycle, from design and procurement to construction and commissioning, ensuring that projects are completed safely, within budget, and on schedule. The manager collaborates with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and project success



In this position, you will:

• Develop project scope, budget, and timeline, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to define project objectives and establish project plans.
• Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments to identify potential risks and opportunities.
• Develop and implement project schedules and work plans.
• Lead and supervise project teams, including engineers, contractors, and other project personnel.
• Provide guidance, motivation, and support to ensure project success.
• Schedule and lead regular project meetings to monitor progress, address issues, and communicate updates to stakeholders.
• Manage project budgets, ensuring that costs are controlled and within the approved limits.
• Approve project expenditures and track costs throughout the project lifecycle.
• Procure necessary materials, services, and resources for the successful completion of the project.
• Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Monitor progress and resolve issues that may arise during the execution phase of the project.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards to minimize risks.
• Ensure all work is performed to quality standards and meets the required codes, regulations, and specifications.
• Oversee inspections, testing, and commissioning to ensure project quality and performance.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure compliance with all legal and environmental regulations.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including senior management, clients, contractors, and vendors.
• Provide regular updates and reports on project status, milestones, and issues.
• Negotiate with contractors and suppliers as necessary to secure favorable terms and resolve disputes.
• Conduct post-project reviews to evaluate project outcomes, challenges, and successes.
• Ensure proper documentation and project closure, including financial reconciliation and final reporting.
• Such other similar and related duties as may be reasonably required by the Employer from time to time.


What we're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, or a related field
• Proven experience in managing large capital projects, ideally in construction, engineering, or infrastructure.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in project management software
• In-depth knowledge of construction processes, contract management, and building codes.
• Ability to manage budgets, timelines, and multiple stakeholders effectively.
• PMP (Project Management Professional) or similar certification is often preferred
