Story Behind the Need
Business group: Global Risk Management
Global Risk Management (GRM) is responsible for determining how much the bank must provision for defaulted loans.
Project: Global Provisions Platform is a rebranded application that is designed to calculate the expected and provision credit loss (PCL, ECL) for these business lines: Retail Credit Risk across Canadian Banking, International Banking, Wealth and Commercial Banking.
Purpose of the application is to streamline business processes and to minimize the amount of end-user computing completed by the country managers. Being able to deliver the ECL/PCL faster to the business.
Candidate Value Proposition:
This position will give the candidate exposure to the Google Cloud Platform and the ability to lead the project team and design and implement solutions.
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
- 8-9 years of experience with Python, Python Flask, MS SQL) All of them.
- 5 years of experience working with Google Cloud services, example: Airflow & Kubernetes, Cloud storage
Nice-To-Have Skills:
-Unix OS basics (Building commands)
-Capital Market knowledge
- SAS development experience,
- Docker configurations
-Front-end development experience
-optimization of database performance
Soft Skills Required:
- Ambitious, self-starter, positive attitude, strong communication skills,

The Best candidate is ambitious, is a full-stack developer, and can lead the team. Can present and articulate their ideas to innovate the application.
Education & Certificates:

• Post-Secondary Education is required, but would be preferred in a related field
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science.
