About Glencore:

The Horne Smelter operates a copper smelter in Rouyn-Noranda that produces 225,000 metric tons (mt) of copper annually by processing 840,000 mt of copper concentrates and recyclable materials containing copper and precious metals. It also operates a sulfuric acid plant. The Horne Smelter employs 650 people, excluding contractors.

The Horne Smelter is fully committed to the ongoing reduction of emissions and is looking for dynamic, motivated individuals to participate in its major transformation process called AERIS, whose main phases include modernization of its facilities, transitional improvements to current capture systems and optimization of facilities around the plant to reduce emissions as much as possible.

The main pillar, plant modernization, involves the construction of a new state-of-the-art plant section which includes a high-tech process to reduce emissions at source, valued at $500 million over 5 years.

Description of the Role:

As a member of NACAP\xe2\x80\x99s major regional projects team, the incumbent is responsible for gathering, analyzing and consolidating financial information, while ensuring that it complies with Capital Management Framework standards. The Capital Management Administrator is primarily responsible for producing monthly reports related to the capital investment portfolio, and they have the expertise to support sites in their data production process.


More specifically, you will be tasked with:

• Consolidating various financial documentation such as LOAs, budgets, and monthly expense reports for the entire NACAP group.
• They support sites in preparing capital management reports.
• With the help of their team, they develop tools to optimize and improve capital management.
• They gather the information needed to produce monthly reports.
• They consolidate data and produce monthly reports that comply with company standards.
• They carry out quality control checks and validate reported data.
• They support sites in producing all required reports that are related to their expertise.
• They ensure that sites have submitted the data required under the Capital Management Framework.
• As a financial expert, they attend project presentations, make recommendations and ensure that current standards are met as required. They
• their financial knowledge with team members.
• They support their team in rolling out technological tools for capital management across the region.
• They participate in activities associated with the budget and LOA life cycle by gathering information from sites, ensuring alignment and then consolidating information for presentation to the management and senior management teams.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Candidates must hold a university degree in accounting or finance.
• Eight (8) years of experience in finance
• Knowledge of SAP is an asset.
• Bilingualism is required.
• Proficiency with the Office Suite is required.
