We are seeking a detail oriented Capital Cost Control Specialist to join us in Florenceville-Bristol, NB. As a member of the North American Engineering Group, the successful candidate will be responsible to process all invoices for the McCain Foods Canada Capital Budget. Processing in a timely manner in order to meet project cash flow projections.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor Project Manager\xe2\x80\x99s Coupa queues for invoice issues
  • Enter or validate all Capital Engineering purchase requests in Coupa for approximately 30 Project Managers, Plant Engineers and Maintenance Managers across Canada
  • Calculate and deduct withholding taxes from foreign invoices
  • Review Open GRNI Report Weekly for Capital Goods Receipts
  • Review & Action Open Purchase Orders for Closure on Capital Projects
  • Validate projects ready to close (Open Purchase Orders/Open Goods Receipt) and assist with closing forms
  • Provide project support
  • Compile data required during yearly audits (internal and external audits)
  • Compile data required as support for grant applications
  • Work with vendors and/or accounts payable to resolve invoice issues.
  • Setup or validate all Canadian Capital purchase orders.
  • Manage and submit change requests on existing purchase orders.
  • Compile required information and populate and submit vendor set up form for new vendors.
  • Answer questions on issues with orders / status of invoice payments from vendors and project managers.
  • Review weekly open goods receipt report and action receiving errors on capital purchase orders.
  • Provide invoice copies and proof of payments related to grant requests on capital projects.
Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary education in Business Admin, Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum 2-3 years business experience
  • Basic accounting skills required
  • Prior experience working with tight deadlines and demonstrated ability of accurate output
  • Microsoft Office skills required; must be proficient in Excel.
  • Previous experience with SAP and Coupa preferred
  • Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills. Must be able to convey information to all levels of the organization in a clear, focused, and concise manner
  • This role requires successful clearance of a background check (including criminal check, credit check, employment & education verification)
