Join them and let\'s invent tomorrow\'s public transport together.SYSTRA\'s ambition is to be the benchmark for transport solutions and an opinion leader in mobility.Role and responsibilitiesWe are looking for a Capability & Development Specialist to join our Capability and Change team.Reporting to the Knowledge and Capability Lead, you will be responsible for coordinating the project and program management competency assessments and delivery of key learning initiatives to enable effective delivery of complex rail infrastructure enhancement programs for our client in Canada.We are the Delivery Partner working with our transit client to leave a legacy of a sustainable, high performing, empowered culture that leads to repeatable delivery success. An essential part of the role will be supporting the delivery of an end-to-end curriculum to upskill project and program coordinators, managers, and directors in multiple workstreams and other specialist roles providing services to Project Delivery Teams.Key Responsibilities:

  • Supports and administers the implementation of the Competency assessment and reporting process, and training interventions which may include but limited to: assisting with the assessment of performance and effectiveness gaps, scheduling training, coordinating session logistics and providing administrative support, managing class lists, providing technical support to learners, maintaining competency assessments and training records, developing and administering course evaluations.
  • Develops, builds, and maintains trusting, collaborative relationships with a wide range of internal stakeholders. Collaborates with a multi-disciplinary team of people within the Program Team and Metrolinx to carry out competency assessments at the project and program level.
  • Work with the Knowledge and Capability Lead, and Capital Projects Group (CPG) to coordinate the implementation of training that bridges any gaps in competence and addresses employee development needs.
  • Supports by producing reports and insights from learning analysis, attendance, learning requirements, and the value added. This will include maintaining and monitoring relevant metrics on the competency program. Reviews lessons learned to continuously improve offerings and learning service provided.
  • Coordinate other Capability and Change skills development and training programs, such that the capability of the Metrolinx CPG team is improved over the period of the contract.
  • Develops, delivers, and adapts bespoke learning content that creates opportunities for team and the project\'s growth. This may include supporting the design and development of learning programs, including workshops, e-learning modules, and cross-functional project training.
  • Leverage digital tools and existing Metrolinx learning technology systems to deliver, track, and manage learning activities efficiently. Stay informed of emerging learning technologies and trends.
Technical Competencies Required
  • Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent in applicable field.
  • Previous experience required in one of: Organizational Development, Learning and Development, Business Administration, Project Management (or equivalent).
  • Recent experience in coordinating training programs and competency frameworks in similar or related sectors.
  • Excellent organizational skills, demonstrated through successful project management, including coordinating timelines, resources, and stakeholders to achieve objectives efficiently.
  • Understanding of adult learning principles, and instructional design knowledge.
  • Facilitation skills is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of project management best practices and frameworks is an advantage.
  • Presents and communicates effectively at all levels, both written and verbal. Strong attention to detail.
  • Build partnerships and works collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.
  • Digitally savvy. Advanced skills in MS Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, SharePoint).
  • Experience using Articulate Storyline 360. Microsoft Project for the Web is an advantage.
