Position Summary

We are currently hiring

experienced Cantonese-English medical interpreters

for

full-time remote work

. This role involves over-the-phone interpretation (OPI) for medical settings, supporting healthcare professionals and patients during appointments, consultations, and emergency care.

We are looking for professionals who are committed to high standards of interpreting, confidentiality, and patient-centered service.

Job Responsibilities

Provide accurate and impartial interpretation between

Cantonese-speaking patients

and

English-speaking healthcare providers

Ensure clarity, confidentiality, and professionalism in all interactions Demonstrate strong knowledge of

medical terminology

, procedures, and patient rights Adhere to the

Interpreter Code of Ethics

and HIPAA compliance Handle calls in a calm, respectful, and efficient manner Maintain availability during scheduled hours and attend check-ins or QA coaching as needed

Requirements

Native or near-native fluency in Cantonese and English

Minimum 2 years of experience in medical interpretation (OPI or VRI)

Strong knowledge of medical terminology, patient confidentiality, and interpreter protocols High school diploma or equivalent (higher education preferred) Ability to take accurate notes and retain detailed information Comfortable with remote platforms and handling multiple call types Must pass our internal

language proficiency test
