Canteen Cashier - Part Time

Way up north in the Wapusakatto Mountains, you'll find Western Labrador's Ski and Snowboard Resort, Smokey Mountain Ski Club. Since 1961, we've been hitting the slopes and sharing our love of skiing and snowboarding with the communities of Labrador West and visitors from around the globe.

Position Overview:

We're looking for a friendly and dependable

Canteen Cashier

to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment. As a cashier, you'll be the first point of contact for guests ordering food, snacks, and beverages at our ski lodge canteen.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet guests warmly and take food and beverage orders accurately Operate the cash register/POS system and handle cash and card transactions responsibly Prepare and serve basic food items, snacks, and beverages as required Keep the canteen area clean, organized, and fully stocked Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety guidelines Work collaboratively with kitchen and service staff to ensure efficient operations Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning and restocking Provide excellent customer service in a friendly, professional manner

Qualifications:

Previous cashier, food service, or customer service experience preferred Basic math and cash-handling skills Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a busy environment Team player with good communication skills Availability to work weekends, holidays, and during peak ski season
