MOFO Gardens is a Health Canada licensed micro-cannabis cultivation facility, located in Sturgeon County. We are currently seeking a cannabis trimmer; a worker in the cannabis industry who specializes in preparing harvested cannabis plants for sale or further processing. This role is crucial in ensuring that the final product is aesthetically pleasing, potent, and ready for consumer use.
Cannabis trimming requires reliability, a keen eye for detail, and manual dexterity. It can be a repetitive and physically demanding job, but it is essential for producing high-quality cannabis products.
Responsibilities
Trimming
: Removing excess leaves and stems, by hand using shears, from the cannabis buds to improve their appearance, potency, and marketability.
Manicuring
: Finely shaping the buds to ensure they have a uniform look and are free from unwanted plant material.
Quality Control
: Inspecting the buds for mold, pests, or other issues that could affect the quality of the final product.
Sorting and Grading
: Categorizing the trimmed buds based on their size, quality, and other factors.
Maintaining Tools and Equipment
: Cleaning and maintaining trimming tools to ensure they are sharp and effective. Switching out gloves regularly.
Compliance
: Adhering to all legal and safety regulations related to cannabis processing and handling. Wearing appropriate PPE (smock, hairnet, gloves, clean shoes).
Requirements
Previous cannabis experience not necessary.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Strong fine motor skills.
Reliable and punctual.
Ability to sit for long periods of time.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
