About the Role

We are currently seeking a

Cannabis Expert

to join our team -- someone who is more than just a budtender. In this customer-facing role, you'll be expected to

educate, guide, and convert

customers while meeting

sales performance goals

and delivering an elevated retail cannabis experience.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of cannabis products, a proven ability to work with

KPIs/IPTs

, and the passion to drive results while maintaining full compliance with AGCO regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Greet and assist customers with professionalism and warmth in a fast-paced retail environment Provide

in-depth product knowledge

of cannabis strains, edibles, concentrates, and accessories Act as a trusted product advisor -- educating customers based on their needs and tolerance levels Achieve and exceed

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

, including: Items Per Transaction (IPT) Average transaction value Customer satisfaction Upsell and cross-sell effectively using a consultative approach Accurately operate the

Point of Sale (POS) system

and maintain digital and physical sales records Execute

cash handling procedures

and daily cash reconciliation Ensure adherence to

AGCO compliance

regulations and internal store policies Stay current on new product launches, cannabis industry news, and brand updates Contribute to store cleanliness, team collaboration, and customer-first culture

Requirements

Must possess or be able to obtain a

CannSell Certificate

(mandatory) Must pass a

criminal background check

1+ year of retail or hospitality sales experience

(cannabis experience is a strong asset) Proven ability to meet or exceed

sales targets, KPIs, and performance benchmarks

Strong communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency with POS systems, Excel, and inventory tools Passion for cannabis and a willingness to continue learning Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
