As the General Manager, you will be responsible for leading a dynamic team to achieve excellence everyday. Through inspirational management, you will ensure that all day to day operations at the Property are running efficiently and optimally, creating a first class experience for all tenants and guests. You will maintain and improve the upkeep of the property by ensuring an efficient alignment of site level resources while collaborating with internal stakeholders during the implementation of corporate initiatives.



As a member of this team, you will be responsible for:

Property Optimization and Excellence:



Maximize Operating Cash Flow, Net Cash Flow and Net Operating Income - Review results related to operating costs, vacancy, leasing and accounts receivable and evaluate in relation to benchmarks.

Quality Programs/Benchmarks - Monitor progress related to CRM's, regional vendor performance and Sustainability Initiatives to ensure targets/goals are met. Provide any necessary training or feedback to the staff on a timely basis.



Customer Relations:



Appropriately respond to and address daily inquiries, from both tenants and guests, regarding the property's policies and procedures, and all other issues that may arise.

Be involved in industry associations and community initiatives. Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, tenants, and employees.

Effectively manage tenant relationships by being responsive, diplomatic, and decisive in all interactions.

Manage the coordination, completion and communication efforts in a timely fashion with tenants before, during and after tenant changes / updates and any other construction project or property updates.



Employee Engagement:



Lead and direct the management team in the completion of their duties while ensuring those duties are constantly aligned with property objectives. Mentoring of direct reports and ensure all staff have growth plans. Conduct regular property inspections. Facilitate and champion the property level employee engagement program to ensure a consistent brand experience at all levels of the property. Ensure Tenant Experience initiatives are aligned with property objectives and national programs. Act as the liaison between property departments to ensure clear and consistent flow of communication is received and disseminated amongst team members.

Property Administrations and Reporting:



Provide guidance and coordination to all aspects of the multi-year budget preparation and regular forecasting, including a sustainable operating budget and capital plan. Collaborate with Leasing to provide information pertaining to market share, leasing projections, and category analysis. Coordinate the preparation of monthly reports with the assistance of other members of the management team. Lead the preparation of all weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting to Co-ownership as required. Respond to and follow-up on all escalated legal and receivables issues / documentation. Analyze and report on other critical data at the property as required. Support the execution of the Asset Management plans

To succeed in this role, you:



Have a post-secondary education in Business, Finance or related discipline. Have a minimum of 8 years' experience in a related field within the retail/property management industry. Have extensive experience in managing diverse team and inspiring superior results. Are highly competent in Microsoft Office with a strong working knowledge of Excel. Knowledge of Yardi is an advantage. Have strong ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment and work well under pressure with multiple competing deadlines. Have proven ability to work in a dynamic, fast pace environment. Have an analytical mind-set to collect, review and analyze market, financial and sales data. Self--motivated individual with a strong work ethic and a high level of attention to detail. Have excellent leadership, interpersonal, verbal and written communication, problem solving, project management, presentation, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. Have a flexible attitude towards a variety of work tasks as is required in a small working group.
