Job Posting: Base Security Supervisor Position, Oromocto, NB

Commissionaires NB&PEI Division is looking to hire an experienced Security Officer Supervisor to work at 5 CDSG Gagetown in Oromocto, NB.

Hours:

Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm

The Role

The Base Security Supervisor is to oversee all Security Officers working in the department, ensuring that all staffing needs are met, reports are completed accurately, provide training, conduct inspections and work to ensure that the department meets contractual obligations to the client.

Qualifications

Previous supervisory experience with excellent interpersonal skills Effective verbal, listening and written communication skills Ability to prioritize tasks and critically problem solve to meet operational objectives Approachable with good deportment; experience working with government department representatives Proven problem-solving skills Demonstrated leadership abilities with strong organizational and time management skills Ability to defuse potentially violent conflict situations with communication skills Technological competencies: computer literate and comfortable learning new programs Able to successfully complete all online training Must meet criminal record requirements and obtain a Government of Canada Level I Enhanced security clearance Maintain high levels of confidentiality

Position Responsibilities

Managing the department, scheduling, staffing, absenteeism, training, and timely completion of reports


Regularly inspect all posts within the department


Administrative tasks, manage incidents and disciplinary issues


Compliance with Divisional Polices and Procedures and ensuring proper dress
Promoting well-being and morale of the team

Designated Veteran Status and Bilingualism (French/English) are highly sought assets.
