The
Global Corporate and Investment Banking ("GCIB")

Debt Capital Markets (DCM) Overview
Within this division, the
Debt Capital Markets ("DCM")
team partners with corporate, financial, government, and supranational issuers to structure, market, and execute bond offerings across currencies, maturities, and geographies. Our Canada DCM team, located in Toronto, works closely with our global colleagues in New York and London to deliver tailored financing solutions to Canadian clients, including financial, corporate, and government issuers.
Overview of Winter Co-Op Position
As a Co-Op Student on the Canada Debt Capital Markets team, you will gain first-hand exposure to the execution of bond transactions and the management of issuer relationships. You will work alongside analysts, associates, and senior bankers, supporting day-to-day deal execution, market analysis, and client coverage. This role provides an opportunity to learn about how issuers access the global fixed income markets and how banks help clients achieve their financing objectives.
Responsibilities
Support the execution of bond transactions by preparing pitch materials, market updates, and other investor presentation materials
Performing comprehensive, in-depth research on companies, sectors, new issue market, general market conditions and institutional investors
Assist with the preparation of recommendations on timing, size, and structure of transactions
Track and summarize daily developments in global credit markets, interest rates, and issuance activity
Assist in drafting internal briefing materials for senior management ahead of client meetings and transactions
Assist in transaction execution and preparation of related documents
Help the Canada DCM team deliver solutions to clients leveraging the full spectrum of Bank of America's capabilities, collaborating with teams across Investment Banking, Syndicate, Sales & Trading, and Research
Build relationships, knowledge and experience that will open doors to a wide range of future career options and opportunities
Qualifications
Must be registered with a credit co-op program for Winter 2026 term (January-April 2026)
Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program with a focus in Finance, Economics, Accounting and Business
Must demonstrate a track record of superior performance in extracurricular and professional activities
Demonstrate a combination of strong quantitative/analytical skills, attention to detail and client-focused
Strategic and creative thinking; distinguished written and oral communications skills
Assertiveness, initiative, leadership, strong work ethic, team focus
Team-oriented with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
A strong interest in capital markets, fixed income, and corporate finance
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word; familiarity with Bloomberg is an asset
