Job Summary:

The Payroll Specialist, Canada will have primary responsibility for all payroll activities for employees in Canada. This includes, but not limited to, on-cycle pay processing, quarterly and year-end tax activities, researching and responding to employee pay questions, create/review/maintain process documentation and knowledgebase articles, train new Payroll team members, and be an escalation resource for Payroll Coordinators. Support Payroll Team with projects, process improvement initiatives, and US pay activities as needed.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform activities necessary in processing payroll for all employees in Canada
• Process termination/severance payments and signing bonuses
• Process tax adjustments and refund payments
• Process off-cycle payments
• Coordinate payroll audits/reviews to ensure accuracy of pay and identify potential errors
• Provide support for preparation and filing of quarterly and year-end tax information
• Provide time & labor support to HR Ops, managers, supervisors, and T&L users
• Research and resolve payroll issues
• Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor\'s degree in related field or commensurate experience
• Experience processing payroll for 4,000+ employees in British Columbia
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of employees
• Strong analytical abilities
• Proficient to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Previous experience in PeopleSoft - preferred

The expected range is $22.00 - $25.00. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
