The mission of Cisco Canada\'s Country Digital Acceleration (CDA) Team is to create long-term partnerships and solutions with Canadian leadership, industry & academia with the goal of accelerating the national digitization agenda and build sustainable, secure, and inclusive communities. Globally, CDA has more than 1000 active or completed projects in 44 countries, impacting 60 percent of the world\'s population and contributing to 75 percent of global GDP. Cisco Canada\'s CDA projects in education, healthcare, digital government, transport, and utilities have helped us explore the future of these industries and driving change.

In Canada, the CDA program works in concert with our Industry Solutions Group (ISG) to take back of napkin ideas and turn them quickly into pilot programs, quickly refining our approach and scaling these solutions nationally.

Role & Responsibilities

As the Canada Country Digital Acceleration (CDA) Leader, you will be responsible for the continued growth and expansion of the CDA program in Canada. Specifically focusing on the development and acceleration of Canada\'s digital transformation initiatives across all sectors and geographies. This role provides the unique opportunity to create (program development) and execute projects that will drive innovation in Canada and have societal impact. Currently the program portfolio has over $5M invested across ~60 projected influencing approx. $100M of annual sales for Cisco Canada. This role reports into both the Canadian sales and the CDA Americas organisations.

Main responsibilities include:

\xc2\xb7 Own and orchestrate the Cisco Canada CDA program, in alignment with Americas CDA vision, goals and objectives.

\xc2\xb7 Collaborate with the Canadian Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and Executive Senior Leadership Team (ESLT) to understand CDA program, highlight industry opportunities nationally and promote active participation from all Segments.

\xc2\xb7 Understand the Canadian market landscapes and technology trends to serve as a strong investment partner to Cisco Canada Sales and the Americas CDA organization on opportunities at the national level that will accelerate the national digitization agenda.

  • Lead a diverse multi-disciplinary team of industry technical solutions architects (TSAs) and industry business development managers (BDMs) who are responsible for supporting existing sales opportunities, but more importantly, for uncovering and developing net-new opportunities that feed the CDA program.
\xc2\xb7 Provide ongoing measurement and tracking of all active initiatives and conduct relevant quarterly business reviews to establish Canada CDA program effectiveness. Metrics include Program Participation, Program ROI, project development/status, etc.

\xc2\xb7 Partner with marketing, public relations (PR) and Government relations (GR) to promote CDA success stories externally. Specifically, leveraging the work from the CDA program and the ISG team by creating industry thought leadership and engaging in relevant industry events.

\xc2\xb7 Evangelize the CDA program to Cisco employees, partners, and customers. Great ideas often need to be uncovered and nurtured. You will play an important role in uncovering, qualifying, and developing digitization opportunities by consulting directly with Cisco account teams, industry partners and customers. \xc2\xb7 Engage with partner with the Cisco Innovation labs and our Corporate Social responsibility teams when needed to help accelerate specific projects.

\xc2\xb7 Actively collaborate with the Cisco legal and finance teams to ensure compliance of all CDA investments made.

\xc2\xb7 Represent Canada CDA/ISG as a key stakeholder in Cisco Canada\'s Office of the CTO which is group of Cisco technical leaders focused on elevating Cisco\'s brand as an Innovation Leader in Canada.

10+ years of experience in high-growth technology industry spanning Software and SaaS models

Structured thinker and creative problem-solver who is not afraid to push back, but once a decision is made, you\'re behind the team 100%. You know how to connect a strategic vision to the \xe2\x80\x9cdevil in the details\xe2\x80\x9d of execution.

You must be able to make connections between stakeholders, processes, and functional units across Cisco, while also being detail-oriented and able to execute on multiple tactical duties.

You should drive CDA initiatives within the organization by pulling people together and motivating them toward a common goal.

You have the ability to influence senior executives in the boardroom, as well as sales people in the field. Being able to influence without authority is critical.

Strong communication skills to work with senior executives across various business units and industries. You are comfortable facilitating intimate meetings as well as evangelize/promote our Cisco Innovation Story in front of large groups/participants.

When available, the salary range posted for this position reflects the projected hiring range for new hire, full-time salaries in U.S. locations, not including equity or benefits. For non-sales roles the hiring ranges reflect base salary only; employees are also eligible to receive annual bonuses. Hiring ranges for sales positions include base and incentive compensation target. Individual pay is determined by the candidate\'s hiring location and additional factors, including but not limited to skillset, experience, and relevant education, certifications, or training. U.S. employees have to quality medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance and numerous wellbeing offerings. Employees receive up to twelve paid holidays per calendar year, which includes one floating holiday, plus a day off for their birthday. Employees accrue up to 20 days of Paid Time Off (PTO) each year and have access to paid time away to deal with critical or emergency issues without tapping into their PTO. We offer additional paid time to volunteer and give back to the community. Employees are also able to purchase company stock through our Employee Stock Purchase Program.

Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco pays at the standard rate of 1% of incentive target for each 1% revenue attainment against the quota up to 100%. Once performance exceeds 100% quota attainment, incentive rates may increase up to five times the standard rate with no cap on incentive compensation. For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
