Job Description


Position Summary... Under the general guidance and direction of the Privacy Officer, Privacy Manager, Digital is responsible for the management, execution, monitoring and oversight of the digital privacy program. The incumbent will be called upon to provide strategic oversight, guidance and management of consent-related compliance controls. The scope of this role will include, but is not limited to, planning, executing, delivery and adoption, ensuring consent and cookie-related awareness and compliance across multiple business units, cookie management, consent management under Quebec\xe2\x80\x99s Privacy Act, PIPEDA and Bill C-27, as well as the applicable health privacy laws, sensitive product review, interest based advertising oversight, centralized consent solution management, online platform oversight, preference center management, audits of internal and external partners, relevant data mapping, data processing agreements, and compliance in data storage and usage.

What you\'ll do...

1) Provide leadership and set vision and strategy for compliance with cookie and consent-related legal requirements. Oversee the centralized consent records tool, document and update relevant business rules and procedures; verify accuracy and adequacy of consent records on a periodic basis; liaise with the solution owner/vendor re solution improvements and updates; conduct periodic cookie and other online tracking technology audits.

2) Act as a subject matter expert to internal and external stakeholder to identify, analyze and assess digital privacy issues and implement solutions. Work cross-functionally with internal business stakeholders and international counterparts, ensuring both existing and new services, products or processes comply with current and emerging privacy obligations.

3) Lead, support, and participate in departmental onboarding of best practices regarding consent management, sensitive product review and interest based advertising; support development of and updates to the relevant training and awareness content.

4) Review front-end marketing materials to ensure they are legally compliant with relevant laws and regulations and marketing principles. Drive training and awareness initiatives to enhance business understanding of the new requirements.

5) Implement or assist with the implementation of data subject rights and consent management systems, programs, services, or initiatives; drive initiatives to tailor automated workflows to simplify end-to-end request fulfillment; customize templated workflows to meet business and regulatory requirements.

6) Identify, assess and implement opportunities to enhance the effectiveness of the CASL and Consent Management program and processes.

7) Other related duties as required.
