Position Summary... The Manager, SEO leads the operational and local SEO activities for Walmart Canada, directly contributing to traffic and customer acquisition goals for Walmart.ca, Walmart Mobile App, and associated properties. Possessing a deep understanding of methods to grow SEO traffic within a large retail organization, this person uses data and SEO insights to define project requirements and execute on roadmaps that drive traffic, customer acquisition and conversion through organic channels.
What you\'ll do...
1. Growing, coaching and leading a team of SEO specialists, team leads and consultants.
2. Accountable for the performance of Walmart.ca\xe2\x80\x99s SEO traffic, regularly evaluating performance against annual targets, assessing gaps, and developing recovery plans to address systemic issues.
3. Continuously assessing the technical health and crawl rate of Walmart properties (internal linking, crawl budget, indexability, etc), working alongside engineering and product leads to build a comprehensive roadmap of projects that improves SEO at scale, maximizes the leverage of international components, and ensures Walmart.ca is always positioned to support the latest Google trends and guidelines.
4. Managing SEO and campaign planning activities at a priority category and seasonal level, driving focus around competitive keywords, customer need gaps, and seasonal campaign opportunities, seeking to grow Walmart\xe2\x80\x99s share of search, and organic conversion, in chosen areas.
5. Oversee vendor relationships, onboarding, and pricing negotiations for all SEO toolsets and content authoring firms, effectively managing cost, budget and workflow efficiencies on a regular basis.
6. Set standards and drive training around effective SEO processes and guidelines across ecommerce, including site architecture and structure, SEO meta data, product content, marketing copy, and other critical SEO components.
7. Drive day-to-day execution of the program, including ongoing co-ordination with other ecommerce efforts and campaigns, and monitoring all written/visual content produced through the SEO team, for compliance against accessibility, legal, and other guidelines.
8. Responsibility for strategy, analysis and execution of Technical SEO for Walmart.ca to improve core web vitals.
