Job Description


Position Summary... The Manager, eComm Finance will be the Commercial Finance business partner to eCommerce businesses to deliver Sales, GP, CP, and SG&A targets The Manager, eComm Finance will be the Commercial Finance business partner to eCommerce businesses to deliver sales and profit targets through the development of actionable category level strategies, market analysis and management of supplier business plans.This position will work with key business partners across eComm Merchandise, Replenishment, Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations and Data Analytics to further develop and standardize meaningful financials and KPI reports that are efficient and can be scaled with the company\xe2\x80\x99s growth, and to identify and execute automation opportunities and process improvements in the eComm businesses. This position requires strong eComm Retail background in order to develop budget and forecast in two dimensions: by Business Unit and by Sales Channel.

What you\'ll do...

1. Lead month end, Forecast, AOP, 5-Yr financial target setting for eCommerce businesses, to ensure budget and forecast decisions are in alignment with company financial and strategic goals as well as buy-in from key stakeholders. Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Oversee operating plan activities involving bottom-up builds of full P&L for the business

Mange monthly performance through cadence of monthly forecast and business review process

Proactively analyze key trends, identify risks and opportunities, and recommend plans and contingencies to support the business teams\xe2\x80\x99 delivery against annual financial targets

Responsible for analyzing month and YTG forecast with focus on sales and profit drivers (price, vendor funds, IMU%, reserve, markdowns), key metrics (AOV, AUR), market share penetration and inventory/DOH

Provide guidance in optimizing Sales, IM and income based on knowledge of the business

Liaison with Marketing to review Demand Sales forecast and underlying assumptions for AOV, conversion, traffic and ROAS

Liaison with Replenishment to support actions against unhealthy Inventory and DOH

Liaison with Accounting to understand Merchandising related postings to ensure financial statements are fairly presented.

Proactive management of risks and opportunities

Governance of internal controls related to Merchandising function

Scenarios supporting margin growth, any requested financial data from eCommerce leadership team

2. Demonstrate a fundamental understanding of eCommerce full P&L, and the relationships between Marketing, Merchandising, Sales Mix, Channel Mix economics

3. Expertise in incorporating the eCommerce KPIs, Channel mix and Sales mix to financial modeling in order to budget and forecast the effects on IM and CP

4. Identify opportunities to improve process and systems and implement standardized solutions across the eCommerce OMNI area of responsibility and other areas within Commercial Finance and throughout Walmart Canada

5. Lead multi business unit project(s) or process initiative(s). Responsible for full business case development, process redesign and scenario analysis, stakeholder management, and overall financial project monitoring and governance. Capable to effectively communicate results to stakeholders both in depth as well as in high-level summary to tie back overall eCommerce Canada Strategy

6. Identify opportunities to improve process and systems and implement standardized solutions across the eCommerce Merchandising area of responsibility and other areas within Commercial Finance and throughout Walmart Canada

7. Coach and develop group of direct and indirect reports and also and support Director with onboarding and ongoing training of other team members on new financial analyses and methodologies

8. Drive Associate engagement by valuing Associates, listening, and responding to concerns and recognizing accomplishments especially in the team the Associate leads within its projects

Qualifications:

CPA preferred and/or MBA

5-7 years related experience

Skills

Strong communication, interpersonal, presentation & problem-solving skills \xe2\x80\x93 ability to influence and partner with business leads

Result oriented and critical thinking \xe2\x80\x93 high sense of ownership

Strong organization skills, able to meet conflicting deadlines

Proficient to advance level in Excel and experience in complex modelling

Previous systems experience (SAP, Onestream) or strong interest to learn

Previous people management experience is an asset
