Job Description


Position Summary... Lead monitoring and continuous improvement efforts for the Anti-Corruption Compliance program in Canada and ensure compliance with the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and Canadian anti-corruption laws by conducting Walmart compliance assessments (with a focus on financial controls), delivering training, and providing guidance to relevant stakeholders on the effective and sustained execution of compliance requirements at home office and across all facilities.

What you\'ll do...

  • Owns and oversees the execution of the Anti-Corruption Compliance Level II Monitoring program in the market
  • Drives continuous improvement by conducting periodic and ad hoc Walmart compliance assessments, focused on the implementation and execution of financial controls, in respect of the Company\xe2\x80\x99s Anti-Corruption Compliance Program.
  • Drives continuous improvement by conducting compliance assessments of other Ethics & Compliance Subject Matter Areas (as determined by the Global Testing & Monitoring Team)
  • Utilizes compliance systems and technologies on a daily basis to document and analyze assessment results, track and report on trends, and to prepare reporting for key stakeholders.
  • Prepares and presents reports and presentations to report on the results of compliance assessments, socialize opportunities with various business partners and leadership to obtain support for compliance initiatives.
  • Conducts assessments and analysis to assist with root cause identification for observations and recommends process improvements and/or mitigation strategies.
  • Partners with relevant stakeholders to oversee and guide the development of action plans to address identified observations. Ensures timely execution of action plans and assists with the execution of action plans as warranted.
  • Ensures compliance with FCPA and Canadian anti-corruption laws and record-keeping requirements by identifying possible financial control risks; overseeing audits of financial records to ensure appropriate records are maintained; identifying gaps in record-keeping; and partnering with key stakeholders (for example, business owner, Finance) to develop solutions.
  • Coordinates strategy and efforts with the Global and Canada Anti-Corruption Compliance Teams.
  • Builds strategic partnerships with various business units by researching and building expertise on Walmart Canada\xe2\x80\x99s business environment; identifying and communicating possible risks associated with anti-corruption non-compliance; and maintaining open lines of communication at various levels.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\'s Degree
  • CPA or Internal Auditor designation
  • Minimum 3-5 years of Forensic Accounting, Audit or Internal Controls related experience.
  • Working knowledge of Excel and SAP
  • Strong problem-solving skills coupled with the ability to determine the root causes of problems and recommend sustainable solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with others in addressing complex issues. Uses appropriate judgment regarding issue priority and communication.
  • Strong documentation skills to clearly and accurately articulate results of assessments / reviews performed and observations noted.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze large amounts of data, decipher higher risk attributes and disposition appropriately.
  • Strong communication skills, including presentation capabilities, Ability to persuade and influence with verbal and written communications.
  • Adept to multi-tasking, meeting competing demands and timelines and operating autonomously
  • Demonstrated resourcefulness and resilience in the face of change, obstacles, and adversity.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act is an asset.
