The incumbent will support the business unit objectives by being responsible for the development, planning, implementation and ongoing delivery of a comprehensive portfolio of career programs in support of experiential career development of students.ResponsibilitiesDevelopment and Coordination of Learning Opportunities

  • Coordinate the development, planning, implementation and ongoing delivery of a comprehensive portfolio of programs for students including community involvement programs, services and activities that positively impact student development
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders on development of programs and pursuit of funding to support large scale volunteer engagement programs and projects including student peer programs
  • Build, nurture and maintain strong campus community relationships to support and increase experiential opportunities for students on campus
  • Collaborate with campus stakeholders to promote, support, and track volunteer work experiences
  • Leverage job board and other tools to maximize matches and to meet quotas of student recruitment into volunteer experiential and work-integrated learning opportunities
  • Collaborate with department to align peer program activities to on-campus opportunities with new students generating maximum matches
  • In collaboration with team members, develop quotas, performance measurement metrics, and assessment plans that can generate evidence-based recommendations to the manager.
Student Success
  • Develop relationships with key employer funding program representatives, acts as a departmental expert responsible to maximize matches between employers, funding opportunities and qualified students
  • Build a sustainable funnel of volunteer positions that align with NACE\'s Career Readiness Competencies
  • Ensure a robust job board and development activities that yield well-matched opportunities for students from all university faculties
  • Grow, promote and manage MyCareerHub Volunteer job board
  • Provide in-person appointments to help students succeed with opportunities pursued through MyCareerHub and other sources
  • Provide transition support and co-curricular involvement programs, services and activities that positively impact student retention and engagement, and support the successful transition and development of career-ready students
Qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent
  • 5 - 8 years of related work experience
  • Experience with development, coordination and delivery of programs
  • Experience with career development for students within a post-secondary environment
  • Excellent ability to build, nurture and maintain strong relationships
  • Excellent communication skills; written and verbal
  • Possess a change, innovation and continuous improvement mindset
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Be respectful & inclusive
  • Ability to be organized and pay attention to detail
