Are you an experienced Security Officer with a valid BC Security Worker\xe2\x80\x99s License looking to work with a dedicated, Vancouver Island-based team? General Responsibilities:

• Observe, record, and report activities and security incidents while on shift;
• Ensure client property are secure and follow site-specific instructions;
• Conduct foot patrols, including standing and walking for long periods of time;
  
• Downtown location with constant interactions with the street population;
• Working with a team of trained professionals and volunteers with the same goals and approaches;
• Hands off position with a lot of verbal interactions;

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• A valid BC Security Worker\xe2\x80\x99s License is required;
  

• Ability to use computers and smartphones with ease;

• Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing;

• Ability to write clear and concise incident reports;

• Must be physically fit with the ability to stand and walk patrols, climb stairs, etc;
• Requires a compassionate approach when interacting with clients
• Conflict resolution and De-escalation skills required Ability to make a difference
