The Faculty of Education is seeking up to twelve (12) Undergraduate Student Assistants - Camp Counselors to work at an Early Numeracy and Literacy summer camp.RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Participate in training and program development sessions
• Plan and deliver project-based tasks that integrate numeracy and literacy activities in summer camps for children ages 4 to 9 years

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Successful candidate will be enrolled in a UPEI undergraduate program
• Knowledge of play-based and arts-based pedagogies
• Previous experience and or training with early years and early childhood education
• Knowledge or early numeracy and early literacy development
• Previous experience with summer camps
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to work independently
• Understanding of inquiry and project-based learning is considered an asset
• A Bachelor of Education degree will be considered an asset

A valid driver\'s license and transportation are required to travel to different sites for the summer camps.
