This job occurs on Saturdays from 8:30am - 4:30pm in Brampton, On.
Hourly rate:
Hourly Rate: $20.00 - $25.00 based on experience
Job Requirements: College Diploma or University Degree in Education, Management, Communications, Arts, or any other relevant degree required
4 year minimum experience of supervising part-time staff with a background in recreation and leisure, education, early childhood education, youth worker or equivalent.
Must hold a valid Emergency First Aid/CPR B Certification
Previous experience playing basketball, football or soccer at a competitive level is an asset
Previous experience working with children is an asset

Job Responsibilities: Under the Camp Director the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations and delivery of comprehensive camp programs to meet the needs of staff and participants
Visit programs daily to provide direction and ongoing coaching to enhance staff's program knowledge, teaching techniques and program planning skills
To provide quality customer service to all staff, parents, campers and volunteers
Be responsible for knowing, understanding, training, and executing all camp policies and emergency procedures associated with Aspire for Higher Basketball
Prepare staff schedules, ensure appropriate staff coverage during arrival and departure of campers, review staff's logged hours
To conduct safety checks of program equipment and facilities daily. Reporting anything that impact the quality and safe delivery of the program in a timely manner to the camp director
To perform other related duties as assigned

Strengths include attention to detail, highly organized planning, problem solving and decision-making.
Customer service oriented and able to work independently.
Interested in meeting new people and speaking confidently in a small group setting.
Reliable, punctual, hard work and motivated self-starter
Experience working with youth in a teaching environment in a sport.
Knowledge and interest in the game of basketball, soccer, football, and the sport industries in the city.
Applicants MUST be available to work from June 1st- August 12th and attend 3 training dates on weekends in June.
