We run year-round, offering programming for P.A. Days, winter/March Break, and summer camp. Currently, we have 11 locations throughout Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and are continuing to grow! We welcome campers between the ages of 5-12 years old and are dedicated to nurturing a fun and dynamic learning experience each summer! For our younger campers, our multi-activity camp features exciting weekly themes like Dinosaurs, Pirates, Space, and more. ABOUT THE ROLE



This year our summer camp will run from June 30th to August 22nd, 2025. We are looking for Location Managers who can commit, full-time, to 6-8 consecutive weeks, from

June 30th to August 22nd, 2025

Location Managers will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day functioning of their designated camp location. This includes the management of facilities, staff coordination, safety, and parent communication. Location Managers possess a unique blend of leadership, organization and passion for education. They are dedicated, capable and resilient individuals, who have a natural ability to lead by example. Location Managers not only have strong administration and logistical management but also possess an inclusive and inspirational leadership style that fosters a welcoming camp environment. Furthermore, Location Managers embody the camp's values and philosophy, serving as passionate advocates for creating memorable camper experiences and empowering camper individuality and growth.

WHAT YOU WILL DO (RESPONSIBILITIES):



Staff Management



Manage all staff and volunteers at the assigned location; including, but not limited to, absences, camper behaviour escalations and staff issues. Supervise timely completion of

daily tasks

and ensure that staff take their mandated breaks; enforce and escalate as appropriate. Evaluate and provide regular

real-time feedback

on all staff performance. Conduct quick weekly

1:1 feedback

sessions with staff with the purpose of

mentoring

them in their career development. Sign-off on session completions. Track staff performance and provide end-of-summer staff performance overview to upper management. Enforce

camp policies

with staff and

escalate

to upper management when necessary. Mediate staff issues and escalate to upper management when appropriate. Assign and delegate daily

ad hoc

responsibilities to the Assistant Location Manager and weekly Volunteers.

Administration & Scheduling



Create the daily

timetable

of camper activities, staff

schedules

and breaks to ensure that all groups rotate between activities in a smooth and timely manner. Manage

logistics

during field trip days (departures, returns etc.) to minimize disruption to the camper experience. Communicate and

update

upper management daily via a Whatsapp group chat. Review all email and Whatsapp

communications

from upper management daily, and pass along relevant information respectively to staff. Draft

weekly reminders

to staff about topics pertinent to the location i.e. upcoming field trips, weather, camper behaviour tips etc. Familiarize and understand camp policies and resources;

direct staff

to appropriate camp resources as needed.

Programming Quality



Ensure

excellence in programming

quality by: Daily checking in on each group's arts & crafts and theme activity sessions and giving counsellors teaching tips where appropriate. Daily checking in on each group's indoor and outdoor activities to make sure counsellor-led themed games are played. Collaborate with Assistant Location Manager to ensure the smooth functioning of the location. Including but not limited to instructing Counsellors on the theme activities, verifying that arts & crafts materials and camp supplies are available and on-site etc.

Camp Location Management



Manage the daily morning set-up of the camp location and camper check-in process, to set each day up for success. Lead the maintenance of the physical camp location including its cleanliness, tidiness and

flagging any issues

appropriately to upper management. Follow safety procedures and protocols onsite and offsite for all campers and staff at the assigned location.

Parent Relationships & Behaviour Management



Build

strong relationships

with the parents and guardians of campers. Implement and enforce our three-strike behaviour policy. Escalate and work with upper management to rectify any issues. Communicate and

report camper behaviour daily

to the Camp Directors. Ensure that all campers are signed in and out each day accurately. Available and committed to working full-time, Monday to Friday, for 6-8 consecutive weeks total (June 30 - August 22, 2025). Bachelor Degree in education or a related field preferred. Ontario College of Teacher's (OCT) License

mandatory

. Complete a valid and recent Vulnerable Sector Police Check (not older than 6 months)

at your own expense

prior to the start of employment. Provide a valid and current Standard First Aid & CPR, level C, certificate

at your own expense

prior to the start of employment. Participate in mandatory paid staff training on

June 21&22

. Available on

June 29

for location set-up. Previous experience working in a team environment is mandatory. Previous experience managing or leading a team/staff is preferred. Previous experience working at a summer camp is an asset. Excellent organizational skills and very detail-oriented. Outstanding interpersonal communication skills; friendly, personable and flexible. Ability to adapt and problem-solve quickly in various situations. Maintains professionalism towards all campers, parents and staff. Strong sense of ownership over their location, role and tasks.

PROGRAMMING



At our multi-activity camp, we group campers into two age groups to provide strategic programming, targeting developmental skills in a fun and exciting way. Every week we follow a different theme that is reflected in our daily activities and our weekly field trip. Campers look forward to days filled with experiences that keep them both mentally and physically active. Further, our weekly field trips enrich our programming, as campers get to visit local parks, museums and some of Toronto's most popular attractions.

KIDS CAMP (5-8 years):



In the summer, our KIDS CAMP experiences fun weekly themes such as Space, Trains, Underwater World, Around the World etc. These themes are the basis of all activities, crafts and games that our campers enjoy and learn from at the same time. Our activities stimulate different senses and target select motor and developmental skills.

JUNIOR CAMP (9-12 years):



Our specialized programming for our mature campers and deep dive into topics such as Science, Healthy Living, Leadership, etc. Our older campers get to experience more challenging themes and learn in a fun and interactive environment about the weekly topic with their like-minded friends.

HOURS & SHIFTS:



45 hours/week - fixed from 8:45 am - 5:45 pm

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract, Seasonal
Contract length: 6-8 weeks

Pay: $19.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 42.5 per week
