About the job: Kent is recruiting a Camp and Travel Coordinator permanently based in Kitimat, BC. Your primarily responsibilities will be arranging, tracking and coordinating all camp and travel requests for the LNG Project. Applicants who self-identify for employment opportunities for the Project will be given preference in the following order: a) Members of the Haisla Nation (and their spouses) b) Local residents c) Residents of British Columbia d) Residents of Canada
Roles and Responsibilities:


  • Arrange and coordinate camp and air travel requests for all staff on the project
  • Ensure all itineraries are communicated and distributed to the applicable employee via email or hard copy within 72 hours\' of arrival/departure
  • Confirm and verify flight attendance. Escalate to the appropriate supervisor if any discrepancies are found between the booked flights and the confirmed flight attendance
  • Arrange camp accommodations for all employees and visitors on the project site
  • Contact new employees and visitors to site with camp and travel details, along with site information, 72 hours\' prior to their arrival
  • Cancel or reschedule any camp accommodations due to changes in an employee\'s status
  • Monitor the camp room availability and ensure alternative camp arrangements are made if vacancies are limited
  • Responsible for reconciliation of all invoices against commercial bookings
  • Ensure any travel itinerary changes are communicated with the applicable employee
  • Collaborate with other functions to enhance project success on an as-needed basis required by the Human Resource Department
  • Track and update scheduled workforce
  • May be required to perform other duties as assigned not otherwise captured in this position description

Qualification/ Certification:

  • Post-secondary education completion in an accredited administration program is an asset
  • 2 - 3 years related project experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • CSTS 2020 - Construction Safety Training System 2020; previous versions will be required to update

Skills Requirement:

  • Ability to work effectively and cooperatively as a member of a team is essential
  • Exceptional customer service skills are required
  • Must be detail orientated and results-driven

Communication:

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
