Calypso is seeking a dynamic sales & marketing representative to join our team! Just imagine being responsible for developing, implementing, and executing strategic marketing plans for Canada's biggest waterpark!
In this position, you will be a part of the team responsible for multiple aspects of the department, including social media planning and content creation, community relations, prospecting, creative development, website updates, replying to customer comments and tracking and reporting of all digital metrics.
Your hard work will be realized when you uncover new prospective corporate clients and see their deals through from introduction to greeting them for their event at the park.
Description
Calypso is a seasonal operation and therefore your priorities and tasks differ between in-season and off-season. For example, In-season, your priorities are client-focused and event driven. In the off-season, you will be analyzing outcomes, creating strategy for the future and forecasting the next season.
Plans and manages consumer promotions, in-park promotions and general season pass promotions.
Executes in-park sponsorship programs including signage design, placement & upkeep and in-park promotional activities.
Help approve and edit agency ads.
Create and implement strategic public relations plans. Develop and maintain ongoing positive relationships with all media contacts.
Design strategies for managing social media comments with a view to reaching and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction measured on Review Tracker.
Help build our brand and followers on social media providing continuity to maintain engagement during the off-season
Capture new accounts through prospecting, networking and online research.
Process group sales and liaise with BBQ Coordinator to confirm reservations
Meet and greet school & corporate group clients on event days and oversee their time at Calypso to ensure success
Continually target and prospect for new business through telemarketing, creativity and innovation.

Provide statistics at the end of each season
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in communications, Marketing or related field or equivalent experience.
Proven working experience in digital marketing.
Working knowledge of MS Office applications and marketing and have some experience in photo and video editing software (i.e. Photoshop, InDesign, Adobe Premier, Final Cut, Canva)
Experienced in the field of marketing with a technical understanding of and interest in the major social media platforms and their best practices, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.
Must be able to work varied shifts, including evenings, holidays, night events and weekends particularly during our open season.
Able to develop industry and professional affiliations that enhance professional growth and development staying current with the latest trends in the industry and business world.
Must have highly developed interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including presentation skills; ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and persuasively in both French and English.
Demonstrated ability to set and achieve personal goals & a proactive, goal-oriented, can-do attitude.
Be able to define patterns & problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
Able to facilitate website editing and updates using Word Press.
